Lisa’s story is one of passion, impact, and continued service.

With 25 years in education, she helped open three elementary schools and inspired countless students through Girls on the Run and the Chess Team. Her dedication earned her honors including Elementary Teacher of the Year and recognition as a state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching.

She continues to give back through her volunteer work with the Teacher Reuse Exchange, where she delights in helping educators discover valuable resources and sparking creative ideas for their classrooms. She is also an active member of Cross Church Atlanta, staying connected to her community in meaningful ways.

Above all, Lisa treasures her role as “Nana” to her three grandchildren. 

Whether she’s exploring National Parks, enjoying a good book, researching her family history, or uncovering hidden gems in thrift stores, she embraces life with curiosity and joy—continuing to inspire those around her, just as she always has.
