There’s something special about the way Denise Webb—better known as “DW” to us—brings learning to life.
For more than 30 years, she’s been shaping young minds, but her true magic shows up in her STEM lab. It’s not just a classroom—it’s a place where curiosity grows. Literally. Students plant seeds, tend a garden and greenhouse, and watch their work turn into something real they can harvest and share. For DW, learning isn’t something you memorize—it’s something you experience.
But her story doesn’t stop there.
Beyond her classroom, Denise has spent years lifting up other educators—mentoring, leading, and finding ways to make science more meaningful for teachers and students across Georgia. She’s the kind of person who doesn’t just do the work—she brings others along with her.
Her love for the environment runs just as deep. Whether she’s gardening, raising bees and chickens, or mentoring fellow educators, Denise leads with purpose and heart.
When she was invited to help start TRE, it just made sense. Supporting teachers, reducing waste, and giving new life to resources—it’s who she’s always been.
At her core, DW is more than an educator. She’s a nurturer of curiosity, a champion for others, and someone who quietly makes the world better—one student, one teacher, and one small act at a time.
