Little Free Libraries

Little Free Libraries are little buildings just for books. Anyone can take an appropriate book to read and/or leave one for someone else. Little Free Libraries have been donated to The Place and Mentor Me, and in partnership with Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, have donated and installed two more at:

  • Midway Park (near the playground and pavilion)
  • Sawnee Mountain Preserve (near the playground or greenway (2505 Bettis-Tribble Gap Rd)

Below are other Little Free Library locations in Forsyth County parks:

  • Caney Creek Preserve
  • Haw Creek Park (near pavilion)
  • Sawnee Mountain Preserve (behind visitor center)
  • Central Park (playground)
  • Coal Mountain Park (fields 1-4)
  • Coal Mountain Dog Park
  • Ducktown Community Park
  • Fowler Park (3 – large playground, lower soccer/small playground, recreation center)
  • Joint Venture Park
  • Matt Community Park (playground)

Take a book, share a book, or both! Books from elementary to adult age are available 24/7! And remember, CHILDREN SHOULD READ AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY! So stop by and get a book to read and share.

Little Free Library Mobile App

Want to find Little Free Libraries near you? Get the Little Free Library mobile app (it’s free)! Get it in the App Store for iOS devices or the Google Play Store for Android devices.

The Little Free Library app makes it easy to find little library locations near you. You can get directions, create routes, save your favorites, and track the libraries you visit.

What if Someone Places Inappropriate Books Inside the Library?

Everyone who uses the library has the right of helping make sure the types of books in it are appropriate to neighbors of all ages and backgrounds. You are as capable as anyone else to remove a book … but we encourage you to be open-minded about it.
